One of the hardest things about working out is how boring it can get.
Seriously, that gym life can get pretty boring. Same machine. Same yoga mat. Same same same.
Lucky for me I’m pretty good at finding new opportunities to work out! This week we had a new business owner that needed help pulling up an old floor and putting down a new one. I thought “this might be a good idea for a workout.” Little did I know just how right I was!
The mayor, his wife, the store owner, a young man and his sister and I went to work about 8:30 am. We finished at 3:30 pm. The carpet came up and got thrown out in the roll off. The subfloor and the subfloor under that all came up and got thrown out. We replaced bad flooring with boards, and laid down new sub floor. Lots of nails were pulled out. Crowbars were used. We sweated and went and bought bandanas and sweated into them. I squatted all day. Up and down, Up and down. I also got in the majority of my steps for the day.
And that was just on Saturday ……….
