State of Digital Marketing 2015 Report

 

I got an email from Smart Insights that included their report The State of Digital Marketing in 2015 and this infographic and a few statistics that stood out to me were:

  • One half (50%) of businesses surveyed do not have a defined digital plan or strategy, although they are active in digital marketing.
  • The main barriers to integration are: 1. Lack of integrated strategy and plans (27%) 2. Teams structured in silos (23%) 3. Lack of skills in integrated communications (17%)
  • Nearly 60% of peoples’ time is now devoted to digital marketing activities, showing the importance of skills development in this area.
  • 80% use smartphones to search internet.

Interesting report – and it is creating a few new interesting ideas for me!
